POLLINATOR & STEAMROLLER PRINT FESTIVAL

Event description:   This community event will bring live art, live music, local food, plants and pollinator garden and the community together to kick off Wyoming summer!   A festival fundraiser for Science Loves Art and an event that provides financial support to musicians, artists and local businesses.

Goals:  

  • community event,

    • Community event:  music + food + art + plants = community event (all ages and family),

  • plant community pollinator garden along S 4th Street,

  • introduce a new artform to the community of all ages:

    • Provide mailable “kits” and in-person workshops to teach printmaking/stamp making to the general public,

  • provide mini grants to selected printmakers (up to 10 artists/designs selected) See CALL.

  • provide mini grants to musicians:

    • Live music (3 acts with mini grants of $200) 2 hours play time each

    • SLA pays for sound system, trailer stage donated, we provide electricity,

  • provide a venue for food vendors and local businesses/breweries,

  • fundraising for SLA,

    • SLA uses blocks purchased from selected artists to print and sell/auction artwork to print and share across Wyoming. (wheat paste outdoor murals or indoor art),

    • Sales of shirts, posters of printed artwork from community lino (4”x6” pieces)  (SLA printing in the studio),

    • Corporate and business sponsorships,

    • Volunteers help with event
