SLA Impact Map

We have sent over 2300 SLA Kits across 13 Wyoming counties, and we are just getting started!

SLA has also expanded our online shopping experiences and have reached communities in almost every state in USA plus UK and Europe.

Here’s how you can help:

1) Know a school or organization in Wyoming? Send them our way, and they could qualify for discounted SLA Kits!

2) Maybe you know a charitable business that wants to support their local community? We would love to get in touch with them! Just let us know, and we can handle the rest.

3) Buy some SLA products! All proceeds from selling our products go directly back into making kits to give to youth across Wyoming for free. Each SLA Kit bought is a Kit donated. Pretty cool, right?

4) Volunteer or make a donation! Get in touch and make a difference in our communities through science, art and discovery!

Science Loves Art Kit reaches over 2,000 participants!

In our first year as a nonprofit organization and thanks to funding from the Wyoming Arts Council, City of Laramie Community Partner Grants, Wyoming Community Foundation and a financial collaboration with Wyoming EPSCoR and René Williams, we were able to accomplish some big goals!

  1. SLA has reached our annual goal of over 700 kits and 2,000 participants across Wyoming and beyond.

  2. We designed our first SLA Kit, Suminagashi Marbling, inspired by the visual images and movements of microbes and how fun this was!

  3. Our goal of assembling and distributing 700 SLA Kits from July 2019 to June 2020 was hit much earlier as we saw the demand for Kits and found collaborators. Because of Covid-19, the demand for science and art projects that are portable and easy for all ages has greatly increased and we are trying to keep free projects and creative diy kits designed and assembled.

  4. Expanding our online shopping experiences has allowed us to reach communities across the USA and beyond. The opportunity to bring art and science to these areas also means more experiences and more kits for isolated families and communities!

  5. Our collaborators include Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, schools, home school groups, after school programs, art communities, science camps and other community groups in 9 counties as of May 2020. Our goal is to reach groups and children in all Wyoming counties.

Our Response to COVID-19

Science Loves Art is committed to the health and safety of our community, and are keeping up to date with all health code guidelines from the CDC and the State of Wyoming. We provide contactless pickup and delivery of all of our products, and we are currently keeping out physical location closed to the public until further notice. Thank you all for your patience and support!

We have been supporting isolated populations since we were founded in 2017. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have stayed committed to keeping that role. We have continued to donate our SLA Kits across Wyoming to hundreds of children across the state, and have developed a new paint pour kit now available in our store.
